Charles Busch’s play, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, chronicles the spiritual turmoil of Marjorie, (Linda Lavin), a middle-aged Upper West Side doyenne, and how her life changes when a stranger from the past (Michele Lee) arrives on her doorstep.
Michele’s performance in The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife earned her a 2001 Best Featured Actress in a Play Tony Award nomination.
Opened on November 2, 2000 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
