Michele Lee, Joan Van Ark, and Donna Mills are returning to Palm Springs, California, for two special nights on March 11 and 12, 2022, at Oscar’s to continue celebrating the 40th anniversary of Knots Landing.
The evening will feature the leading ladies of Knots Landing as they look back on their remarkable careers through clips, conversation, and an audience Q&A.
Knots Landing was an American prime-time television drama that aired on CBS from December 27, 1979, to May 13, 1993. A spin-off of Dallas, the series was set in a fictional coastal suburb of Los Angeles and initially centered on four married couples living on Seaview Circle. By the end of its run, Knots Landing had become the longest-running prime-time drama in American television history.
The series was first pitched to CBS, but the network wanted something more saga-like. David Jacobs then created Dallas, which became a hit, and later re-pitched Knots Landing, spinning off Gary and Valene Ewing as they moved from Dallas to a cul-de-sac in California.
And just like that, Knots Landing was born — and went on to run for 14 years.
