The Actors Fund presented a one-night-only reading of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York City.
This special Tale of the Allergist’s Wife Actors Fund reading starred Charles Busch in the title role, originally played by Linda Lavin, and reunited the original all-star Broadway cast, including Linda Lavin, Michele Lee, Tony Roberts, and Anil Kumar, along with original director Lynne Meadow.
The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife was originally produced by the Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer), alongside producers Carole Shorenstein Hays, Stuart Thompson, and Douglas S. Cramer.
This one-night-only event brought together an extraordinary group of performers in support of The Actors Fund.
